Vocal Point: Live at the Newark Free Library
Vocal Point has been a gender-inclusive a cappella group from the University of Delaware for the past 25 years with roots beginning as an 80’s pop tribute ensemble. Vocal Point harmonizes musically as well as socially by valuing competition alongside friendship in and outside of rehearsals. The group has been featured on compilations such as BOCA, Voices Only, and released albums of their own. These collections include “Phoenix,” “Fragile,” and their most recent addition, “Collision,” highlighting their award-winning ICCA set from last year’s competition
The performance will run for 60 minutes. All ages welcome! This event is FREE and Registration is Required.

Vocal Point was selected as one of 8 finalists to this years Voice Jam Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Read below for the event details!
Whether you compete, learn, watch or listen, there’s something for everyone at the 8th annual VoiceJam A Cappella Festival. The weekend includes a headliner concert by Take 6, a riveting competition with groups from all over the U.S., workshops, singing opportunities for local community members and in-school outreach.

VoiceJam proudly partners with Vocal Asia a cappella festival. The winners of this year’s VoiceJam competition will be showcased in video format during the next Vocal Asia Festival in addition to receiving a produced video of their VoiceJam set.

These collections include “Phoenix,” “Fragile,” and their most recent addition, “Collision,” highlighting their award-winning ICCA set from last year’s competition. As nine-time ICCA semi-finalists, Vocal Point has accumulated numerous accolades, with a notable highlight being the "Best Choreography", "Best Soloist", "Best Vocal Percussion", and "Quarterfinal Champion", all won at their ICCA Quarterfinals this year.
This performance is generously supported by the Friends of the Route 9 Library & Innovation Center, and is part of our weeklong celebration of National Library Week (April 7th - 13th).
